• Have you struggled to find meaning in your life?
  • Have you found yourself feeling overwhelmed most of the time?
  • Do you have a difficulty getting out of bed?
  • Are you perturbed by dreams of past events or traumatic events?

Hi, I’m Gilles Brideau. I’m a psychotherapist, coach, and hypnotist and thank you for coming to my website today.

On the topic of adults, we’re going to cover many different sections here and there’s going to be lots of resources available on my website. Under depression, you’ll be able to look at the signs and symptoms of depression, talk about stigma, the importance of stigma, what is it, as well as stigma and suicide. Also some techniques on how to feel happy, how to break out of that cycle. I’ll also explain a little bit about cognitive behavioral therapy and the importance of it in dealing with depression.

Under the anxiety section, we will look at understanding anxiety a little bit more like the different branches of anxiety, like social anxiety, fears and phobias, and really what makes the difference between a realistic fear and a disorder like an anxiety disorder.

Under substance abuse we’ll look at some of the causes of substance abuse, why people get stuck, things like shame and guilt, as well as some simple techniques on how to break the cycle. Most of the time when I’ve presented this at a collegiate level or in my trainings in Canada and abroad, some people were amazed at the simplicity in understanding addiction, taking out the complexities of the disorder.

Lastly, like I mentioned in post-traumatic stress, is just understanding a little bit on flashbacks and why they exist as well as covering a little bit on the different strategies that may be useful to get you back to a great state of wellbeing.

That’s what you could look forward to in this section. I hope that this video has been helpful and I encourage you to peruse throughout my website. I hope that the information that you acquire will be beneficial to your journey to wellness. Thanks so much for joining me today and have a wonderful day.
